So how exactly does this tailgate thing work?

In less than 36 hours, the first game for the Wizards at Community America Ballpark will be in the books, hopefully seeing our boys run out winners over the evil bastards in black and red. We're all excited, but you're all probably asking the same question.

"So how exactly does this tailgate thing work?"

There's two ways to handle tailgating in the season ticket holders lot at Community America Ballpark:

The hard way - 1. Decide on a menu. 2. Go shopping for everything you'll need - ice, meat, side dishes, drinks, charcoal (or gas) for the grill, coolers, tents. 3. Pack all of that stuff into your car. 4. Drive out to the stadium, find a spot and park. 5. Unpack all of your gear, get set up. 6. Cook. 7. Eat. 8. Clean up. 9. Wait for your grill to cool down, then pack all of your stuff BACK into your car. 10. Go into the game full, but tired and grimy.

Or, the easy way - 1. Drive to the ballpark, find a spot to park. 2. Walk a few feet (or ride the shuttle bus) to the blue-circled spot below. 3. Eat, drink (non-adult beverages) and be merry. 4. Go into the game full. (Hard choice, isn't it...)

We'll be out at the park at the crack of 9 a.m. (we love doing this, but dawn comes way too early right now..) putting the finishing touches on the eagle and pork.. You see that little blue circle? That's where the RV will be.About 4:30, we'll be putting the final touches on the setup, getting ready to go at 5 p.m.

All you have to do is show up somewhere around that time, find the guy with the gimpy shoulder and he'll get you squared.
If you have any questions, look for any of the guys wearing the color credentials that say "SUPPORT STAFF" because -- they're support staff. :)

We'll wrap things up around 6:30, so you can have a chance to get into the stadium in plenty of time.
