Opening Day Recap

Well, folks...

I hope you all enjoyed our first tailgate of the season. Sorry for the hiccups, but we were expecting a more steady stream of people, instead of a barrage in the first 30 minutes. Live and learn though... We didn't hear too many complaints, and the lack of food at the end hints that you all may have enjoyed it. :) And then we went and put the smack down on those filthy birds from D.C. 2-0... Awesome.

Anyway, on to the other good stuff.

Thanks to the 75 of you who came out and partook of our tailgate. If there is anything that you would like to see more of (besides dessert items..) or less of in future games, this is the place to make those comments.

For the rest of the season, we're going to keep bringing you the best (and most friendly) tailgate fare in MLS. Next weekend, we'll welcome a few friends from the west as Colorado comes to town. We've invited their traveling supporters to our tailgate, as they showed us the same courtesy when a gang of blue-clad crazies headed out there last year. Now, I'm not sure if we'll have the same kind of VIP sighting this year (it's surreal to drink from a keg pumped by the owner of your team) but we can promise a menu that is top-notch.

Game 2 - Wizards vs. Colorado Rapids (Saturday, April 5 -- 7 p.m. kickoff)
Hanson's Smoked Ribs
Smoked Pacific Salmon
Ockk's Famous Baked Beans
Grilled Vegetables
