Friends, Cauldronites and Columbusians, Lend Me Your Bellies.

So...  We're 11 days away from the Wizards' return to Community America Ballpark and we wanted to share with you our menu for the next couple of weeks.

We've had a couple requests for the return of chili, so who are we to refuse.  For the June 14th game against Columbus, it's the return of the Wings Of A Sparrow Chili Cook-off!

On the Docket:
Hanson's Texas Red (Competition, spicy, beanless)
Vegetarian Varietals
Roush's Chili Carnitas

As always, cornbread, chopped onions, jalapenos and other chili fixin's will be along the side and if you've got anything else you'd like to see, we're open to suggestions.

Also, if you're interested in taking on the pros (so to speak at least) with your own chili recipe, we'd love to chat with you.  For safety's sake, we'll probably handle the cooking, but we're up for anything.

One last note - we will be welcoming some of our friends from Columbus to the tailgate.  Play nice.  Healthy debate and good-natured ribbing are okay, drinking a fair bit and commiserating about the pain of the Hunt Sports Group is whole-heartedly endorsed.  Hooliganism, however, is right out.

P.S. - For those of you who are looking for us on Wednesday at the U.S. Open Cup qualifier, we won't be there...  While there's not really a convenient place to host a large tailgate gathering, it's not necessarily the biggest reason.  Tailgating - at least as we know it - is specifically disallowed on the Shawnee Mission North campus.  Check out Big Soccer and find yourself in the same watering hole with other Wizards fans before the game.

P.P.S. - We'll be posting a menu for the game on the 28th soon, but look for the return of the Fajitas...
