Apparently someone inside the ballpark who saw our gathering was confused about some things and we had to step back and respond to the note left on the RV after we wrapped up Wednesday night. After clearing up the incorrect perception in the allegation, we've received a green light from the good folks at the KDHE to go ahead this weekend. As our Wizards hit the road, we look forward to working with the KDHE to find the best way to continue to bring Wizards fans together in the parking lot before the game in celebration of our passion for our team.
Nothing has really changed. We're still going to provide the same great all-you-care-to-eat grub. If you'd like to tip the cooks or donate to keep these tailgates going, there will be a container on the service table.
We try to put a lot of work and thought into these fan gatherings, trying to bring you the best tailgate in all of MLS. Wizards fans have been tailgating since 1996 and Kansas City sports has been a tailgating mecca since time immemorial, so it would be a shame to let a misunderstanding wreck this tradition. We hope to see you all out there on Saturday and then again after the extended road stand.
